MARINE CONSERVATION CAMBODIA
In Cambodia, Anissa joined Marine Conservation Cambodia to document their day-to-day conservation work: coral restoration, species monitoring, and community-led initiatives with nearby communities.
Marine Conservation Cambodia (MCC) is an NGO working to protect Cambodia’s marine ecosystems. Based on Koh Ach Seh Island, the organization focuses on coral reef restoration, seagrass conservation, marine species monitoring, and combating destructive fishing practices. Their work combines scientific research, community engagement, and direct action to safeguard Cambodia’s coastal biodiversity.
Through her photographs, Anissa wants to show how a community can come together to protect an ecosystem, and achieve real, inspiring results, proving there is still hope. MCC’s work on Koh Ach Seh is clear evidence of that.
